Why I Started Writing:

I started writing when I was in middle school and actually won a poem contest. In college, I dreamed of writing a book someday. I loved reading and became a reading/writing specialist in middle school. One of my projects I assigned for my students was to write a short story in each genre of literature.

Authors Who Have Influenced Me:

The authors who have influenced me the most are first, Richard Paul Evans. I loved his books because he always had a message of redemption entwined in his stories. My husband and I were blessed last year to join him on a cruise to Cabo San Lucas, the setting for one of his novels. Richard held a writers' conference right there on the boat. The other author who inspired me was Karen Kingsbury. Her book Divine was my favorite.

Books I Have Written:

The books I have written are: Mama, I Want to be Like You, Honor Yourself—You Are Highly Favored and Loved, and Gods Lent Child.

What I'm Working On Now:

Right now I am working with Elk Lake Publishing to get my book Shattered Innocence: A Journey to Restoration ready for publication.
