Why I Started Writing:
I had a nagging interest writing. I can't say exactly where this interest came from. I had retired from the practice of law, and I guess the urge just overcame me. I started writing, and much to my surprise I found the process enjoyable. It's clearly work, though. What I enjoy the most is playing the violin and reading the New Testament in Greek.
Authors Who Have Influenced Me:
James Dickey, Deliverance, Flannery O'Connor, The Violent Bear It Away, Graham Greene, The Quiet American, John Steinbeck, In Dubious Battle, C.S. Lewis, The Space Trilogy

What I'm Working On Now:
I am working on a YA novel entitled, My Violin and I, about a socially awkward ninth-grader trying out for the football team while balancing violin lessons, school and a chaotic social life.
