Why I Started Writing:
I have always been an avid reader. I love good stories that capture imagination and take me to places that I wouldn’t be able to go in real life. I’ve always wondered about the stories within the stories. The stories that happen after the screen goes dark or the book ends. I needed to know what happened, and so I began to write. I couldn’t find the story I wanted to read, so I wrote it for people like me who yearn to know...what if?
Authors Who Have Influenced Me:
Books are my weakness. It takes very little for me to get lost in the world of ink and paper. I have shelves overflowing with books, and a Kindle library I most likely won’t get through in my lifetime. I love the classic mysteries, the teen detectives, a good sea monster story, and YA fiction best. The authors that have most influenced me as a storyteller in my current writing include: Jules Verne, Carolyn Keene, Steven Alten and Ally Carter.
Books I Have Written:
Beneath the Deep, a mystery with a speculative twist - releasing in 2022.
Oceanographer Morgan Sullivan has always loved sea monster legends, and her uncle Daniel always had the best. But when her uncle goes missing under mysterious circumstances, the key to his survival might unleash a secret the world isn’t ready for. Every question leads to another, each more cryptic than the last. From the snowy fields of Iowa to the slopes of Haleakala volcano on Maui and to the ocean depths, as the search goes on Morgan finds that the biggest challenge comes from within herself. How far is she willing to go for the answers she seeks? And what is she willing to sacrifice?
What I'm Working On Now:
I am currently working on the sequel to Beneath the Deep. I barely scratched the surface of the world my antagonist created in Beneath the Deep and there are still so many secrets to unravel. I’d share the working title, but it might spoil the first book a bit. So—TBA.
