Why I Started Writing:

When I was eight, I wrote some poems and a short story for my mother as a birthday gift.  Her accolades inspired me to keep at it.

Over the course of my career, I wrote newspaper columns on career and workplace topics and was self-employed as an executive coach, job search counselor, and HR consultant. I also wrote and published two work-related nonfiction books and a workbook.

Authors Who Have Influenced Me:

My reading began in earnest with Trixie Belden books, then progressed to Mark Twain and newspaper columns by Erma Bombeck and Dave Barry. Christian nonfiction authors I appreciate include Andrew Murray, Derek Prince, Rick Warren, Joyce Meyer, and Eric Metaxas, to name a few. Contemporary authors who’ve influenced me range from James Michener to Liane Moriarty, Sophie Kinsella, and Debbie Macomber.

Falling Apart, Falling for You tells of three women, former best friends, whose lives are suddenly upended. They reconnect while planning their first high school reunion in forty years. In the process, they’re transformed—romantically, financially, emotionally, and spiritually—and along the way, these savvy ladies lead the charge to save their hometown from financial ruin.

What I'm Working On Now:

I’m currently writing the second book in the Next Act series, with a working title of Turning to You.
