Anne Greene
Why I Started Writing:
I started writing when my children entered school. I wrote while they were gone because I could not, not write. I considered that a calling from God. Writing is my passion after God and family. My first book, Trail of Tears, was accepted and published by Moody Press. That also I considered as God’s blessing on my profession.
Authors Who Have Influenced Me:
Books have been my best friends all my life. I read to escape my difficult and lonely childhood and teen years. I write to help others enjoy new worlds and experiences in the hope of enriching my readers lives as books brightened my life. If my readers learn life lessons along the way, that’s icing on the cake. I’ve read so many authors I could not name those who influenced me. No doubt Little Women, the Nancy Drew Mysteries, Ben Hur and ever so many other childhood books left an impression on me. Today, I don’t know that any one author influences my work. I try to be authentic and original with my characters and plots.
Books I Have Written:
So far to date I’ve written and seen published six novels and many novellas:
Trail of Tears, Masquerade Marriage, Marriage By Arrangement, Shadow of the Dagger, Angel With Steel Wings, and Red Is For Rookie are my six published novels.
A Texas Christmas Mystery, A Christmas Belle with the Christmas Mail-Order Angels series, A Groom For Christmas with the Warm Mulled Kisses series, A Fool For Love with the April Fool’s Love Series, Recipe For A Husband in the Autumn Love/Thanksgiving series, Keara’s Escape in the Orphan Train Series, The Marriage Broker and The Mortician in The California Gold Rush Romances, and Daredevils in the North Carolina Fifty States series are some of my novellas.
What I'm Working On Now:
I am usually working on at least two books at a time. As of today, I’m working on a western novella, as yet unnamed, for the Wyoming Fifty States series, as well as the novel, Steadfast Heart.
