Why I Started Writing:
From the moment I learned to read at the age of four, I knew someday I would write a book. I had a taste of publication in the second grade when my short story, “The Cow,” was published in our local newspaper.
My ‘someday’ came in 2009 when I was in between jobs. I heard the Lord tell me ‘now,’ as in ‘Stop saying someday. Your someday is now.’ My first novel was a disaster. But through these last eleven plus years I’ve learned a lot about the craft. I have two nonfiction books traditionally published*, but my passion is fiction that touches women’s hearts.
Authors Who Have Influenced Me:
Because I read over fifty books a year in multiple genres, I can’t name a favorite author. My favorite is usually the book I am currently reading.
Books I Have Written:
*Because of Grace, A Woman’s Journey From Grief To Hope (Hallway Publishing 2015)
*The Caregiving Season, Finding Grace to Honor Your Aging Parents (Focus on the Family/Tyndale 2016)
What I'm Working On Now:
I’m currently finishing up the first of a series of three romances (a new genre for me) and rewriting my first novel for the ninety-seventh time.
