Why I Started Writing:

Becoming a writer was never on my radar. My mother was a reading teacher, so books were abundant in our home and reading began at birth. Our summer breaks were spent in and out of the library, leaving with a stack of twenty or thirty books. My literary education stretched from Shakespeare to Dinotopia. For fun, I wrote poems and have always journaled, but when God started speaking “writer” to me in 2017, I was resistant. I thought he wanted me to pen my story, but then I was given a dream in January of 2018 so vivid I couldn’t get the dream out of my head for weeks. I could smell, taste, feel, hear, and touch the same I could in the waking world. When I dove deeper, I realized God had given me a five-book series. A deep fire to write was ignited.
