Why I Started Writing:
A creative composition course in high school sparked in me a love for writing that never diminished. Since I have an imagination that just won’t quit (I dream up scenarios standing in line at the grocery store), I finally decided to pursue those dreams and write! My passion is to portray characters who, in the midst of life’s struggles, journey to a deeper trust in God and His amazing love.
Authors Who Have Influenced Me:
Christian romantic suspense is the genre in which I write, and not surprisingly, my favorite genre to read. I love all of Dee Henderson’s books, especially her O’Malley Series. The depth of plots and interaction between characters have inspired me as I strive to craft my own stories. Other favorite authors are Lynette Eason, Rene Gutteridge, and DiAnn Mills.
Books I Have Written:
My first book is The Secret of Jenny’s Portrait. In this Christian romantic suspense, a lovely portrait and a shocking discovery put faith to the ultimate test. The characters in this story laugh. Sometimes cry. Face challenges—some life-or-death. Strive to live out their faith in Jesus. And my hope in writing this story is that each of us will be reminded to trust Jesus with every step of our own adventure.
What I'm Working On Now:
I’m working on the next book in my series—another romantic suspense with characters whose lives and challenges are interwoven with those in my first book. I’ve written about one-third of the novel, and I’m enjoying the process! I hope to have the manuscript completed by the end of this year.
