Why I Started Writing:
I’ve always found the art of writing an exciting method for expressing the ideas, theology, and experiences Christ has inspired in my life. From having my original and first play chosen to be produced in high school to writing articles for Christian magazines to having my first book published, I’ve been able to organize my thoughts and express those through the pen (aka Microsoft Word). Writing has given me a quiet yet dynamic space to get all the fascinating things I’ve learned from Christ into a structured medium.
Authors Who Have Influenced Me:
Walter Wangerin, Jr., a Lutheran pastor, college professor, and creative communicator of the ferocious love of Christ.
Willa Cather, a novelist who captured my imagination with her poetic style in describing the stark poignance and beautiful grandeur of human life.
J. R. R. Tolkien, the one who allegorically continues to school us all.
Books I Have Written:
I’ve been published in several Christian publications and my first complete and published book was Quest for the Life Tree, an award-winning allegory featuring a brave woman of war.
What I'm Working On Now:
Calculated Risk and the subsequent books of that series featuring forensic accountant Isabella Phillips who is out to get answers to her husband’s murder. But can a woman who solves white-collar crime through spreadsheets, crack a case where drug dealers set the rules?
