Why I Started Writing:

I started writing in an effort to document the many dogs and cats my husband and I rescued over the years. I felt each story would be more meaningful if told through the animal’s perspective, adding interest and pathos.  When I fleshed out the varied personality quirks exhibited by these precious creatures, a creative outlet opened up. From there, I tried to imagine their feelings at the time of their rescue and going forward. I remembered those animals I’d loved and lost, and my heart felt comfort and closure. 

As a result, I wanted the same recognition for all animals. However, the sheer number of animal stories begged for a book. I hope and pray each tale in Longing for Love encourages potential fosters and forever homes for the many animals needing rescue. I want each story to educate and inspire the reader. I want everyone to know, without a doubt, that each of God’s creatures has an individual personality, so special, and Longing for Love.

What I'm Working On Now:

 As a first-time author, I find my days overflowing with learning marketing techniques and developing all the accompanying materials (and energy) needed to promote this book. Oh, and did I mention laundry, pet care, meal preparation, getting to bed at a decent hour and general unexpected life surprises?
