Do you LOVE your WIP?

If you're like most writers, there comes a point in your book when you hate your plot, despise your characters, and want to hit DELETE on the entire project.

So how do you fall back in love with your writing?

Here are some tips from industry experts:

  • Listen to music, specifically music that is tied to the kind of mood you're after for a particular scene.
  • Writing sprints. Set your alarm for 20 minutes and write whatever comes to mind. Try writing longhand instead of tapping on computer keys.
  • Brainstorm with a fellow writer. When you're stuck, sometimes an outside view can help get you unstuck.
  • Work on a different project. Walking away from your manuscript may give your subconscious the break it needs to recharge.

Let me know if you have something to add!
